Old JG-L puts some fun into Lady Gaga and it got me thinkin' about my favorite remakes. Not only do I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but I also love someone that can show us that art is perception. So what are the top 5 remakes of all time?
5. Come Together--Aerosmith It takes some balls to cover The Beatles. Aerosmith makes a rare pull here. 4. Hurt--Johnny Cash I still think that NIN does this song best, but, the emotion and story behind Johnny's Cash's rendition is undeniable. 3. God Save the Queen--Sex Pistols Is there anything more punk than taking a national anthem and making it a piss and puke fest? 2. How Can I Tell You--Cat Power Cat Stevens cat pull of the sweet love that comes across in her version. It's one of 2 on this list that I think are not just good, but better than the original. 1. Knockin' on Heaven's Door--Guns 'N' Roses-- I'm not a huge Dylan fan, so the fact that this song is one of my favorites says something. GNR took this from folky ballad to Rock Anthem.
